On the north shore of Kauai there is a really cool town called Hanalei. It sits between the (incredibly boring) golf course community of Princeville and the jungle basically. The Tahiti Nui is the heartbeat of Hanalei and welcomes everyone with open arms. Since opening in May 1963, Tahiti Nui has been family run and operated and continues to serve and entertain patrons with a unique casual vibe found only in Hanalei. You can catch a glimpse of the Nui in the movie The Descendants when George Clooney pops in for a beer.
