In a recent interview Rival Sons guitarist Scott Holiday spoke about the progress of the band’s follow-up 2019’s “Feral Roots” album. He said the record is pretty much done but they are struggling to get some time with their dear friend and longtime producer Dave Cobb, who is on tour with Chris Stapleton right now.  Holiday went on to say that he’s hoping they can get together in January. “One more session we’re gonna have and we’re gonna put a bow on it and get that out to everybody. I think we have a really great record that is just about there.”

The Rival Sons, hailing from Long Beach, were grammy-nominated twice in 2020 for Best Rock Album & Best Rock performance.

POM Frontman Wes Scantlin has anounced that he and his bandmates are preparing to begin recording a new album for 2022, the follow-up to 2019’s “Welcome To Galvania” album. “We’re probably gonna be going into the studio either in the next couple of weeks or a month from now — get in there and just have a good time.”

According to Scantlin, there is plenty of material in the works for the upcoming effort. “I just have a ton of songs, which I call ideas,” he said. “I’ll take this song here and that song there and this piece of that song and I’ll put this chorus over this song’s bridge and this song’s verse. And I start combining them. It’s really, really kind of a cool little process that I do. I think a lot of other writers probably do the same thing. I like to make a little collage. Pretty cool.”
